Bird Nest at St Andrews World School

07 May 2026 St Andrews World School, Sec 89

Overview

On 7th May 2026, the Rotary Club of New Gurgaon, in association with Navkalp Foundation, visited St Andrews World School, Sec 85, Gurgaon to promote compassion towards nature under the initiative “Daana Pani Bird Nest.” Five beautifully handcrafted bird nests made from earthen pots, bamboo, and jute were gifted and installed within the school campus to support birds with shelter, water, and food during the scorching summer season. The Rotary members received a warm welcome from the School Principal and Interact team. Students were sensitized about the importance of bird feeding, water conservation, and protecting urban biodiversity. Celebrated during Rotary’s Youth Service Month under the guidance of District Governor Dr Ravinder Gugnani, the project beautifully blended environmental awareness with value-based learning. The initiative inspired young minds to become responsible citizens and nurtured a spirit of kindness towards all living beings.
